Ib was appointed artistic director of Ballet Arizona in 2000 after an incredible career at the New York City Ballet where he was personally coached and choreographed on by George Balanchine from 1980-1990. Following his career at New York City Ballet he worked as a ballet master and staged works around the world for George Balanchine, Bournonville, Jerome Robbins and others. He currently still works for the George Balanchine Trust as a repetiteur. 

 

During his 24 years as Artistic Director of Ballet Arizona he created over 30 ballets for the company and is looking forward to continue sharing those works.
